The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This means them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
